About US
Punjabi Akhbaar is a Punjabi newspaper created to meet the growing demand within the Indo-Canadian community to connect business owners with their target customers. Recognizing this need, Punjabi Akhbaar successfully helps businesses thrive by bridging this gap. Our goal has always been to unite the Indo-Canadian community through our bilingual services. Punjabi is Canada’s fourth most spoken language, underscoring the importance for business owners investing in second-language media. For our English-speaking readers, we dedicate a significant portion of our paper to them.
Punjabi Akhbaar is a multilingual, 32-inch broadsheet newspaper published biweekly in Punjabi (80%) and English (20%). Our sections cater to all readers, covering local and international news, business, women’s issues, children’s topics, and Hollywood/Bollywood entertainment. We strive to bridge the gap between different audiences by providing content they love. To keep up with changing times and reading habits, we also offer our clients the opportunity to advertise on our website, extending their reach to online readers worldwide. This helps businesses connect with younger audiences and gain online exposure to boost their success.
Circulation: Our paper reaches over 100,000 Asians in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. It is freely distributed to South Asian grocery stores, religious and community centers, and many businesses. Our total circulation includes 10,000 copies in Calgary, 10,000 in Edmonton, 10,000 in Winnipeg, 2,500 in Regina, and 2,500 in Saskatoon. Additionally, our e-paper (www.punjabiakhbaar.ca) is available to 3 million Indo-Canadians across Canada and millions more worldwide. We will soon expand our reach to all of North America.
